East Budleigh,Devon UK : East Budleigh, the birthplace of Sir Walter Raleigh (he was born at Hayes Barton, just outside East Budleigh itself), is a small coastal town on the Jurassic Coast of England. It is a quaint place, with an art gallery, shops selling local produce, some nice restaurants and a super fish and chip shop that is the pride of the area! It has a pebble beach and a lot of history, so is well worth a visit. One of the houses in the main street was once lived in by the 18th century pre-Raphaelite artist, Sir John Everett Millais, who created a painting of Sir Walter Raleigh entitled 'The Boyhood of Raleigh'.

Weston-super-Mare, Avon, UK : Early into late evening in this large seaside town. The beach is several miles long and plays host to super-motocross and various other sand-based sports, motor and non-motor. Each year it holds an international sandcastle building championship; the sand is odd, in that in parts (the parts nearest the sea at low tide) is made up of a mud-like substance, thus giving rigidity to the sand structures.
